Michal “Maggie” Milstein is an author of journalism, creative nonfiction, and fiction. She was an Iowa Arts Fellow and a Teaching Fellow in the University of Iowa’s celebrated Nonfiction Writing Program, where she received her M.F.A. A dedicated Angeleno, Maggie was an event host and bookseller for Book Soup and Vroman’s Bookstore, two legendary independent bookstores in the L.A. area. Her latest thing is true crime with a little Jewish flavor.

Her work has been described as “surprising,” “deeply unsettling,” and “shamefully funny.”
